Even though a ticket is answered, I don't think it should be deleted. I know it is nice to be able to reference later down the road. I know there have been a couple tickets that were finished, then I forgot what I was supposed to do and could have simply looked up my old ticket. It would save you guys a little more time in answering tickets.

In the trouble ticket system, you should be able to click the "Closed Requests" link to view past, resolved tickets.

Thanks way2real. You are correct, we don't delete the tickets, we just close them.

Don't the replies to tickets get emailed also, or is that just for people who enter an email address into the box? :D

Hey Mr Potato Head,.. er I mean Admin Danny Sir, :D After reading your reply to my ticket I opened my browser and within two clicks I had come across a PHP image tutorial that worked first time both online and off LOL

It didn't work when i tried to use a TTfont though, can you confirm if t1lib is install please. Maybe updating to PHP 4.2.3 would install it ;) :D

Cheers

I am not sure that this is the problem. I know of atleast one other user who was doing something similar on this server.

Conan, didn't you get the GD thing working on the Cpanel server?

oh yes, i remember this one, i was testing one script that requires GD lib on the server the other day, it worked fine tho. I was on the old server at that time but I assume everything is the same for the new server.

However it didn't work on the Ensim server, only work on the Cpanel server at that time, I dont' know if it works on Ensim server now or not though

I prefer ImageMagick to GD tho, i'm using it to generate thumbnails for my photo gallery :o

Hi :-)

This example here http://php.weblogs.com/GD worked first time on the AOH server and on my home computer. (I only found this tutorial after trying others for hours and then finally asking Danny if GD was installed lol)

This example which uses a TTFont http://www.phpbuilder.com/annotate/message.php3?id=1011252 didn't work on the AOH server, but did on my home computer. If you go to the original message you'll see the GIF version which no longer works. :)

Watch out for the Header("Content-type: image/jepg"); line as jpeg is spelt wrong. :)

Ummm... to get back to the general topic of this thread [tickets et al]... :p

In the past when I had a need or question that I thought was inappropriate for this forum, I sent an eMail to AOH support.

Never have used a Ticket.

Is there any difference, Ticket VS eMail?

Do AOH Admin gurus have a preference/

Emails sent to support@alphaomegahosting.com creates a helpdesk ticket. We prefer that you do not email us directly. This is mostly due to the fact that if you email me and I am not here....it will sit there and not get handled even though my other techs may be sitting there twiddling their thumbs. Also, I occassionally tend to forget things in my email box....but if they are tickets...they sit there and have a counter for unanswered tickets....I am not happy till it is 0...that is the goal....
