You guys have made my short list for a reseller provider. Probably Reseller Plan #3 or #4. You and one other are the only ones!

#1. I see no mention of any kind of ecommerce software you offer. If this is the case, then I'll need to add that to the cost of hosting.

#2. From a technical (server install) point of view, which Server Cerficates do you like? Have you found one that is easier to install than the others? There is a huge discussion on
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=76645&highlight=ssl
about which is better.

#3. I don't have my mind made up for sure, but think I'll probably want HSphere. Please discuss my choices.

Thanks :)

Thank you for your interest in AlphaOmegaHosting.Com

1. We do not make any ecommerce software but make recommendations of a number of alternatives that we have worked with.

A. Miva - This is one of the premier choices and is quite expensive.
B. Interchange - Open source shopping cart package made by Redhat. Available on Cpanel packages
C. Oscommerce - Open souce shopping cart package available on any of our packages. We are happy to install this on your account free of charge.
D. X-cart - Commercially available PHP-based shopping cart.

2. From a technical point of view, most certificate installations are identical. The server control panel generates a SSL request that is submitted to the certificate authority. The certificate authority will return a crt file that is used to complete the installation.

The differences between the certs are mainly based in support, price and ubiquity. The biggest issue is with browser compatibility. As browsers matured more certificate authorities were added. For example, Geotrust is a fairly newcomer to the scene compared to Verisign or Thawte. However, an analysis of my site visitors has revealed that 98% of my visitors use a browser version that is compatible with Geotrust. Therefore, we recommend and use Geotrust. However, if you desire a different certificate, we will be happy to assist you in the installation of the certificate.

3. You mention that you will probably choose Hsphere. However, at this time we do not use Hsphere. I have used Hsphere and I do admit that I like it, however, even I found it a bit confusing. We offer Ensim and Cpanel brand control panels. Most users who have advanced options in mind prefer Cpanel. Cpanel is also the control panel used with the reseller accounts.

Thank you for taking time to ask about our services and feel free to ask any other questions that come to mind.
