We are pleased to announce the introduction of 2 new themes for Cpanel users. They are:
Vertex
http://demo:demo@inetsrv5.gahost.com:2082/
Xskin
http://demo:demo@inetsrv6.gahost.com:2082/
If you like one of these better than the one you are using, please feel free to send in a support ticket to have yours changed.

The Xskin theme is nice. WHM looks much better with this skin. I wonder if there is a way to create your own skins and use it for your reseller accounts.

Resellers do have the option of creating/purchasing/modifying their own skins. Resellers that have a skin to be installed can request installation via the helpdesk.
You can get more info about creating the skins at http://www.cpanel.net
I understand that a theme is composed of 168 different files, so I don't expect it to be an extremely simple task.

I have to check the the copyright stuff but I hope I can change a skin which is easier than doing one from scratch.
Many hosting providers write their own themes, which may be as simple as changing the font type and background color to as complex as reorganizing the cPanel layout and where functions are displayed.
I read the docs but it looks like I am able to change the skin only with your help (via helpdesk) because the required options are not available for my WHM. I don't know if there is a way to do several tests for the skin before installing. Do you? I don't intend to ask you 10 times/day to change the skin until I am satisfied with the way it looks :) .

I am surprised at how much "stuff" is out there. {hmmm, maybe I'm more ignorant that I though I was....}

I would recommend you go to forums.cpanel.net and register there and lurk in the forum for skins. There is a lot of information there about creating/modifying them. In addition, the guy that created the xskin also posts there along with the original them before it was distributed by cpanel

I forgot this post was here ... Might want to remove the link for the Vertex theme. That was installed on my account when it wass set up and it turned out there were problems with it and AOH support had to move me to the Xskin theme to get the features working.
Danny has responded to your help desk request.

: Please forgive the problem. Your account was assigned a new theme that was released by Cpanel. Apparently, as you discovered before we did, there were still a few problems. We have changed your account to use a different theme that has already been tested with the functions you need. If you have any additional issues, please don't hesitate to contact us again.
Thank you,
Help Desk

Yes, create a new package and then upgrade to that new package.

Try this maybe? Cpanel Skin Designer (http://cpanelgui.com/skin_editor.htm)

It looks to me like http://cpanelgui.com/skin_editor.htm is only a client. In other words, requires server install.
Hi,
From what I understand it's a windows application you run on your PC to design and check layouts of Skins for C panel (which is what Nedani was asking?), you then upload the edited skins to server.
I'll download it and try it :)

Thanks DTX,
I will give it a try. There is one more problem. What happens in case of a CPanel upgrade?

There is no cPanel skin editor. With that program you can make a custom skin for one of their programs ( cPanelGui):The users don't have to use their web browser to manage their domain(s) anymore. Once they have installed the Windows Client program (CpanelGui™), they now have an icon on their desktop to click on, which takes them directly to their domain management screen.__ No more need for multiple logins like webmail!
The CpanelGui™ client is a free download for everyone. The only requirement is the web host must support CpanelGui™. The host must have the CpanelGui™ server skin package installed, if your web host supports CpanelGui™, then all you need to do is download the Windows Client and your ready to go._ Ask your web host if they offer CpanelGui™ or look for the CpanelGui™ support icon on their web pages._
Is one CpanelGui™ license for a complete server and all clients on it?
Yes.
That is $175 .
On short:
- Danny has to pay $175 to install their stuff on the AOH server.
- You have to set a special skin for you users.
- All your users will download cPanelGui to use it for your server. This program will do the same stuff the browser will do.
- create a skin for cPanelGui. (I'v seen some samples ... all look alike).
- give that skin to your clients
- your clients will install the skin
Doesn't look like a real solution.

I know it doesn't look like something I need.
