Is it possible to have a reseller account use a subdomain? The reason I ask is that if a person gets space from me and doesn't have a domain name they have to use the ugly domainname.com/~sitename/ address.
I just thought it would be nice if I could somehow allow for all of there site to show as sitename.domainname.com

Yes, you can create the account as sub.yourname.com in WHM.

I don't have a reseller account but I've always wondered something. If you have a reseller account and set an account up for someone they can have a cpanel set up for that account. But what about people that have subdomains? Is there any sort of interface for them to control their site or do they have to rely on the main resellers cpanel? Like if they wanted to set up a database or back up said database do they have to have the reseller do it?

If the subdomain is setup as a subdomain in cpanel, the owner does not have their own control panel. They will get an ftp account to upload content to and thats about it.
If the subdomain is setup as a subdomain in WHM, the owner has their own control panel.

Thanks for the info ... I might have to switch sometime soon... It will make the plans I had for the future a lot easier in giving some of my family members some space ... It would free up my time from having to manage their sites I offered to provide space for ...
