Just interested to know what OS you run and what you think of it? Especially those who run WinXP...do you like it?

A p*r*t*d <cough> purchased version of XP. :)

And... to answer your question: Yes, I love Windows XP! It runs great... has a lot of features... etc. Get it!

Yes, I like WinXP. Runs smooth and never crashes. Although its dead sloooooooooow! For me at least, I guess that's because I only have 128MB of Ram and I have partitioned my hard drive poorly (not leaving enough room for the windows swap drive).

I've heard it's not very good for gaming, though. Thankfully I'm not a gamer ;) My graphic and web apps run fine though.

Yea its because of your memory ... For WinXP you really should have 256megs minimum ... And there is nothing wrong with Gaming on WinXP ... Perfectly fine and stable ...

I am on a 3 year old machine: P3, 534mhz, 192mb Ram, Geforce 2 MX video card... and my Windows XP runs just fine. I don't find it slow at all.

I also run XP. I love the Program Compatability Wizard!

I'm sorry I missed all those 'other' OS's....they didn't cross my mind.

Mine is WinMe. Oddly enough, it's been steady as a rock for over 6 months now.

However, I detest anything from M$. Many reasons. Here is just one of them. (http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2002/10/22/1034561484653.html)

If I weren't so computer-inept, I would switch to Linux in a heartbeat.

My Apple //e, by the way, is still plugged in & runs just fine. ProDos is the OS. So also my Atari 800 & Commodore 64. The TRS-80 finally bit the dust, however.

Hey, if you folks all chipped in, I could buy me a Mac. :D

Hey, if you folks all chipped in, I could buy me a Mac.

C'mon, they're not THAT expensive!:) I'm a struggling artist and in the last 7 years, I've purchased 4 of them (3 desktops, 1 laptop ibook). Granted, they've always been the low-end models, but still. They're worth it. And if you "switch" maybe Steve and crew will make you a tv star.:D

I swear, I'm not paid anything to do this, I just love Apple/Macintosh is all.

I'm with Ann...the only people I know who don't like Mac's say they're too expensive (not true) or they didn't like using it in school (which was an old, educational model). Usually their comments come out of ignorance.

I just really like Macs, especially MacOSX...I've never had good experiences with windows.

Was winME, but I just formatted and installed win2kpro a couple of days ago. My other machine dual boots between winME and winXPpro. I need winME as I can't get XP drivers for my scanner :)

I guess I'm the only one running Linux.. Actually, I dual-boot to play games, but I'm generally in Linux.. Go Debian!

The transformer for my SCSI scanner went and died so I bought a USB scanner :D I now have win2kpro on both machines and they're sweet. Wish I'd changed over sooner. :)
