SSH Session

Can someone give me a run down on starting an SSH session in Cpanel4. I can establish the connection, however it will not give me access when I use the login and password that I use to login to cpanel. Is it a different username and password then the one I use to login to Cpanel? I am trying to SSH into the server so I can perform a mysqldump to backup my forums before I upgrade to the next version of Vbulletin. Any help I could get would be much appreciated.

We do not have ssh access enabled by default. If this is your only need and purpose for needing it for this upgrade, please contact me via chat and we will perform the backup for you.
