Sites seem to be down ... I can't connect to AOH's main website or my www.planet-ed.net website ...
Anything going on?

Nothing wrong that I can see... I'm getting to your site and the AOH main page fine. I also checked DNS for planet-ed.com from our servers and everything's normal. I'd say it's likely a problem with a router someplace. While this issue would likely be better handled via the helpdesk, if you'd prefer to handle it here, please provide us with a trace route of the sites in question and we'll see if we can narrow it down from there.

Well ... all back up now ... I notice my mail timed out twice and I had it checking every 15 mins automatically ....
I think there was a net problem ... At the same time that was happening I had some friends that were having trouble reaching our other server with Rackshack ... They were timing out on their tracerouts to half the places they tried during that timeframe ...

Nah .. since its back up no need for a TT ... I normally don't mind at first ... I normally like to see if other are having the same problem first to see if it actually the servers or a net problem before I try bugging tech support ... Thats why I posted here .. Although I saw Danny Shurett online so I IMd him to see if he saw it (I feel bad because, with my trillian, I didn't realise he way away so I bugged him for nothing :( )
I know how nightmarish it can be for support personnel ... I have a dedicated server and I get all types of IM's and emails from users everytime they can't connect ... So far I've been lucky ... Not one of them has been a server issue ... Always either wrong username/password, incorrect email settings or net problem ... I fear the day when I go to apply a patch or something and fubar the server ... So I backup regulary now ...

Bah... drop us in a trouble ticket any time you need us to look at anything, it's really no trouble: You'd be surprised how quiet it can get at night. Anyway, glad everything seems to have straightened out for you. Gimme a shout if you need anything else... Even Danny asks me if I ever sleep :)

Only issue with that as I couldn't access the AOH main website there was no way to open trouble ticket ... that a great reason these forums are at the Texas datacenter instead of being all in one location ...
LOL ... Yea I've seen that at times when I was IMing support ... Fixed the problem in minutes like always but always keep asking you for more things to do :D ... So its either:
1. Dedication - no doubt there
2. Boredome - Yep seen that also (30 min conversation after question was answered about nothing in peticular) ...

I had the same problem, sounds like at the same time as well. It only lasted about 5 minutes for me, I just assumed it was a bellsouth deal(my ISP).
