What are the rules for acceptable passwords? One of my users can't change her password and keeps getting this error:
Here is the result of your request:
Your password could not be changed because the new password is it is based
on a dictionary word, please try again!
TIA

Try something a little more random that is not, nor does not appear to be a dictionary word. Something like
4iknwk1

I've been using "today" as a default password, giving the user instructions to change it to something private. How come it takes "today" but not other "dictionary" words? Should I change my default password to "today123"?
I choose "today" for default because it was easy to tell a new user "That is how long that password should last".

I know a lot of people today don't care for Novell, but at least I could expire a password. Especially a default that I assigned a new account.
