The virus def's dated today are flagging the crazy browser exe file as a virus... apparantly it contains a fingerprint of a known virus, but I'm not going to spend 29.95 for a live tech support person to talk to me about this.
Just an FYI for our CB users... if you're running NAV 2k2, you might want to turn off liveupdate for a few days.

DSLR has a thread on this. The NAV blip on crazy is a false positive, but Symantec is stone-walling it. Typical. I ran NAV's bloatware for a while. Every time I had reason to ask their tech support for help, they instantly decided the problem was with my computer. Tra-la-la. Such is life.

At work we had McAfee deleting all of the email on Outlook Express. That took a call to tech support and a patch had to be applied. Those fingerprints are probably only a few bits long, I'm sure they test them against dozens of apps, but they are bound to miss one now and then.

Stonewalling or no, the new def's that were just released fixed the problem... no more false positive.
