Hi! Right now I have two vBulletin boards with vBulletinHosting (which is going out of business effective 8/15). Therefore, I need to go ahead and buy my license (which I was going to do anyway). My question is this....I know that Danny said that you guys could install my vBulletin for me, but can you do a "transfer" of my board (the one i have now) once I get the license?

I am going to close one board down and keep my main board, so I dont want to lose everything that I have there. vBulletinHosting said they would work to get a data dump for us, but I have NO clue what that means or even how to go about doing it.

So...I guess thru my rambling, I am asking if I get a data dump, can that be a part of the install? Or, do I need to install first, and then do the "data dump"?

Thanks !!

We just did this for a vbhosting.com customer last night. The biggest challenge was getting the data dump. However, I did find a method that worked in their environment. We are more than happy to take care of the whole process of ftp'ing data and getting your forums up and going for you.

If this is on the same domain, just submit a support ticket with the information of where you want the forum installed along with username/password/servername at vbhosting and we will make it work.

However, if this is on a different domain. Just sign up for the new domain and submit a trouble ticket with the information above and we will move the information for you. I have some availability to do this for you this evening if you want to get it done as I understand there is a deadline to get it completed.

Thank you Danny! I wont be able to do it until next week. I talked with VBH and he is going to get me the "dump".

It will be on the same domain, so I will submit the help ticket for it :)

Thank you so much for the support and great service. I am working very odd hours this week (3 days on 1 day off) so thats why I asked them to work with me next week.

If I can possibly do it sooner I will submit the ticket sooner. I am very patient ;)

Thank you so much!
