I am still trying to get vbulletinhosting to get me a data dump. I have emailed them three times and have not gotten a response from them. I would like to move my data over..I dont really want to lost posts, but if I need to I guess I will.
Also, I am getting LOTS of sql errors when I try to update a member profile, etc on my vbulletin....I have also tried to get them to fix these for me, all to no avail.
If I were to get a data dump, would those errors come over with it? (sorry if that is a dumb question) I just want to not have all the errors and issues with my board like we have now.
thanks!

I may be able to help you get the data dump. If you can send me ftp info and vb admin info, i can probably get your dump for you. i was able to successfully get it for another user this way. If you want me to try it, just email me the info above to dshurett@alphaomegahosting.com
Regarding bringing errors over with your forums, thats a harder question to answer. It really depends on what the error is and what is causing it. If it is database corruption, it is possible that it may come with your data. however, most likely if there is a problem, I may see it also while trying your import.

Hi thanks I will get that info for ya! I am not at home, but will get tomorrow :)
Also, this is the typical error I get on every member profile that I try to update:
=============================================
Database error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.2.5:
Invalid SQL: SELECT userid
FROM user
WHERE username='***EDITED OUT*****'
AND userid <>
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 4
mysql error number: 1064
Date: Monday 05th of August 2002 11:56:57 PM
Script: http://209.120.143.174/admin/user.php
Referer: http://209.120.143.174/admin/user.php?action=edit&userid=28
=============================================
I can not even remove users or delete them, they all come up with a sql error of sorts. I am thinking that we may be better off if we just start a new....I really dont want the problems that we have had over the past three months.
My poor member base thinks that I am nuts will all the downtime and other issues we have had lately.

Seems like you have a bit of database corruption. I believe that vb has some tools to help repair these situations. You might ask over at the vb board.

Ya I think that there is a big issue! I talked with my mods and we just decided to go ahead and do a clean install and start over fresh. Too many issues with VBH lingering...lol
Thanks for all your help! I really appreciate it! :)

Odds are you're using a version of vBulletin lower than 2.2.6 and PHP in the 4.2.x line. There's known problems in the templates and user modification sections of vBulletin's administration control panel with that combination, and upgrading to vBulletin 2.2.6 fixes this.
