Just a suggestion, but I'd lose the 3rd column in a flash if I was you. It makes the center section (the major part of it) a pain to read. The text is all squashed up so there's like 4-5 words before the next line.
Just my .02cents.

Let me think on that a bit. Also, what resolution are you viewing at?

19" monitor @ 1024x768 - If you really wanted to keep the 3column look I personally would get rid of all the wasted space on the side (gray area) vBulletin does great with auto expanding, I'd change the width to say 85-95% and let it auto expand for smaller or larger monitors. Again just my .02cents.

This is one of the best layouts I have seen for a support system, all of the important information is right on the first screen without scrolling, even the latest posts. I view on a 17" monitor at 1280x1024 and the columns look fine to me. I wouldn't see any problem making it wider, just keep the layout.

I just bumped my resolution from 1152x864 to 1280x1024 (and for the first time it doesn't really look to small) and I personally think there is to much wasted space on the main page. At this resolution, I think it'd look better with the middle column widened a bit, but at lower resolutions, I don't know how it'd look.

That's exaclty what I'm saying - to me I get the feeling that the middle column is the most important (is it not?), but it's one of the smallest columns. I run vbIndex on my site (similar to what your running here) and found it works and looks better with the 3rd column merged with the 1st column.

Much. I like this look much better. Doesn't look so congested.

It looks good for me too, taking advantage of the screen real estate there, less waste.

Exactly - Danny nice job as already said by Gnomercy the page doesn't look congested and I can actually read the center column!

As I have probably stated before, I am much better at server admin/support than web development/webmaster/vbulletin design. Took a little bit of research to find the answer on how to do this.
