Though it does not appear we will be affected by this outage, we've decided to notify customers in our NYC datacenter.
Please be advised that we are required to perform emergency network maintenance, May 16th 2004 between 23:01-02:00 EDT. The work required will involve our Montreal routers getting reloaded in a sequential order. If you are a Montreal customer you will notice some latency during the four 1-2 minute interruptions. All BGP customer in Montreal will see their BGP sessions reset at this time. For all other customers, your traffic will be re-routed through additional connections during this time period.
