Server Times/vBulletin

I have this issue on my VBulletin board and noticed it here as well. Perhaps somone out there can answer this for me.

I am in EST. When I set up my VB I had set it to EST but the time is WAY off. No one ever complained on the boards. I notice it here as well. My current time is 11:39 while it shows the current time on this VB as 4:39 am. (same on mine)

If I set the zone to Western Europe in VB, I see the time fine but others are off.

any suggestions?

All is right for me. It requires 2 things.

In your admin panel set the time to GMT-5. This is the timezone the servers run in.

In your user panel, set the timezone to YOUR timezone. GMT-5 if you are in eastern.
