Fantastico & Noah's Classified
I installed Noah's Classified on my site. Everything is working fine, however, the program will NOT send out email from built in links.
I was having this problem with the Image Gallery program in Fantastico . . . it would not send my emails from within the site. However, the Gallery program had a feature that allowed me to set up and use a SMTP (POP) account to send out the emails. Once I set that up, the program send the emails everytime.
Is there something about the way the servers are set up that requires something special to send email from within these Fantastico programs? Unfortunately, the Noah's Classified does not have a feature allowing me to set up sending mail through my POP account. Any thoughts or work arounds? Am I doing something wrong? Everything else seems to be working fine.

I am not aware of anything that should prevent the messages from being sent. What error message are you receiving?

No error messages . . . emails are just never received.
When working with the Gallery program, their forum/tech support talks about some server systems will not allow email to be sent direct from program . . . they require email to be sent via a verified POP account. That program would not send emails until I set it up with a POP account/Password set up on my account. Once I did this, emails were sent and received without a problem. Gallery gives you both options . . . and they suggest not using the POP method unless the program will not send email the default way.
Now, I have loaded Noah's Classified . . . and again, no emails sent from within the program. Unfortunately, this program does not give me an option to set up a Verified POP account to send email through. I'm thinking this program is behaving like the Gallery program . . . not sending emails from inside program links.
Does any of this make sense?

I will have to do some testing to be quite honest. I have never seen Noah's script.

I just did some testing on one of my domain with Noah's. I installed via Fantastico and was able to send emails without issue. I need to take a closer look at your server to see if there is a difference in how the servers are setup and to do further testing. However, I don't know who you are so I will need you to either reply here with your domain name, PM it to me or drop me a helpdesk ticket.

If this is a cpanel server, check the tweak settings to ensure that nobody is able to send emails.

Noah's Classified Help!
Hi
I am a marketing student, and I'm using Noah's classified for a research project which is supposed to help me explore online commerce. I know a little bit about html coding, but I am a beginner at best.
I am wondering, what is the request url Noah uses? I am trying to set-up links for certain keywords (ie. Cars, boats, houses, etc.)on the home page, but everytime I do a keyword search, it always produces a "../index.php" in the address bar. Even when I try to add a query synatx like "index.php?search=cars" it doesn't seem to work.
Please help.
Your attention to the matter is greatly appreciated, and will help me not fail this course.
Thank-you kindly
